on 8/29/12 we are having a pre-party at The Back Door in Mid City Mall from 6-8pm where we will be screening Return Of The Living Dead. we had planned on having the walk start there, but the owner of Mid City Mall had concerns about so many people meeting at one place. So we have planned to have several meeting places rather than one big meeting point. The pre-party at back door is still happening and then we move across the street to The Big Bar and Highland Tap Room (and a third meeting point, the new Highland tap room at Bardstown & Grindstead). our under 21 participants are welcome too as we will all meet in the parking lots of these places. Big Bar will be having drink specials and will raffle off a deluxe gift basket from Old Forester. and at 8:29pm will WALK down Bardstown rd turning on Grinstead to The Monkey Wrench.

Due to the large numbers of participants, we are asking anyone who wants to join one of our Costume Contests to please sign up between 8:30-9:30 pm at our T-shirt booth in the Monkey Wrench Parking Lot. If you want to claim a title, sign up early as we can only accommodate about 20 contestants per contest.   The Contests include: Gross Zombie (purists like walkers, some like runners, this contest is for those who love the grossest, most rotten zombies of the bunch) Prize: deluxe gift basket from Buffalo Trace,  Hot Zombie (self explanatory; the most popular and most contested of all our contests) Prize: $50 giftcard from Tattoo Charlie’s, King & Queen Zombie (pairs in themed costumes) Prize: His & Hers Living Wills from Ratterman Funeral Home, The Golden Machete (best in show; the most unique costume at the walk) Prize: $50 Giftcard from Tattoo Charlie’s;

Our Friend Leigh will be there to make up those who would like a hand, for just $5. come in early. at 8:29 pm we “WALK” from the Back Door down Bardstown Rd and Grinstead Rd to the Monkey Wrench.

As you know LOUISVILLE ZOMBIE ATTACK is the world’s largest Zombie Walk; and is a fun free event. But as it grows, so does our bills. our sponsors have helped us secure the proper permits for this year’s event, but we still have a way to go. If everyone who attends Zombie Attack pitched in just $1 we could pay our bills. of course we know how unlikely that is; so we are asking for just a few bucks so we can keep this a fun and safe event.
